The article considers one of the most effective ways of practical training of future specialists in the field of tourism – the organization of students' practice in a cross-cutting program. The thoughts of individual scientists on the importance of this approach to solving this problem are highlighted; Certain shortcomings are associat- ed with the organization of the practice of future tourism experts; Attention is drawn to the foreign experience of practical training of workers in the sphere of tourism; The experience of the Department of Tourism of the Zaporizhzhya National University concerning the planning and organization of the practice of bachelors and undergraduates is characterized, namely: the consistency of educational and production practices, and practic- es, depending on the place of passage.
