ESSENCE AND STRUCTURE OF MOTIVATIONAL AND VOLATIONAL COMPONENT OF READINESS OF THE FUTURE DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY FOR RESEARCH AND INNOVATION ACTIVITY

Abstract

The article reveals the essence of the motivational and volitional component of the readiness of the future Doctor of Philosophy for research and innovation activity. Shown, that this component has a complex structure, which includes three interrelated aspects. The first motivational aspect is determined by the internal motives of the scientific worker, which can be attributed to: interest in scientific activity, the desire to explore the unknown facts, and to create something new to himself, achieve recognition in the scientific environment, obtaining a high social status (degree, academic rank, position) and related material goods and social guarantees; the possibility of further professional growth, self-realization, etc. This is due to the fact that for professionals of creative professions, in particular, scientists, internal motives are the basis for intensifying their professional
activity and an important prerequisite for innovation, which is explained by the features of the latter, since creativity and mental activity are almost not exposed to rational external influence. The second aspect is value. It characterizes the desire of the Doctor of Philosophy to bring in the professional activity elements of creativity, diversity, the desire to expand their social contacts, develop themselves and achieve high professional results. Innovation of workers is derived from their system of values, among which the values of self-improvement and development dominate, as a result of which research and innovation activity is filled with moral content: the priority of creation, rather than consumption of values. Third aspect of the motivational and volitional component of readiness for research and innovation activity is a volitional aspect, considering that the overwhelming majority of specialists are guided by the usual ways of activity and distrust everything new, showing anti-innovation behavior.
