TO THE PROBLEM OF THE DOLLS FUNCTIONING AS SOCIAL AND CULTURAL PHENOMENON IN HISTORICAL RETROSPECTIVE

Abstract

This article deals with the special features of the toys’ interpretation, in particular doll, as a
socio-cultural phenomenon in the modern culturological and psychologo-pedagogical researches.
A brief review of the creation history and doll’s functioning in society is considered; the typology of
dolls, their role in the cultural development of mankind and the influence on the child’s personality
formation are performed.
