PROBLEM LECTURE AS A METHOD OF INTENSIFYING THE TEACHING AND LEARINING ACTIVITIES OF STUDENTS

Abstract

A problem lecture may be within the course of the discipline and a topic, which is not purely of informative but of a searching character as well. The peculiarity of this lecture is that the lectorsets a problem that requires some research activity and its solution during this problem lecture. Lector also organizesa problem solution process, stimulates students, involves them into the discussion,so they express their own opinions and decisions. Application of the method of the problem lecture directs the lector and students to work together,and,as a result, students are engaged in intensive activity to acquire knowledge. In other words, students gain knowledge through action, active thinking, working together to solve the problem.
