In the conditions of knowledge society development the Ukrainian postgraduate pedagogical education requires active implementing the innovative teaching technologies, rethinking the established stereotypes re- garding educational methods and techniques. Nowadays in rapidly changing socio-economic environment the out-of-school institution pedagogue has to constantly raise his\her level of knowledge. The pedagogical success depends on the effectiveness of implementing the innovative teaching technologies based on new meth- odological fundamentals, modern didactic principles and psychological and pedagogical theories. The article deals with the training as one of the innovative teaching technologies and effective mechanism in postgraduate pedagogical education as well as the peculiarities of its implementing by means of using the “6 thinking hats” method and smart cards to enhance the method of Edward de Bono.
