Abstract

The identification of the place and the role of early prevention in the work of a social
teacher is the condition for effective prevention and overcoming the negative consequences of
deviant behaviour. Successful prevention requires that the opportunities of national, regional and
local institutions and organizations in the hierarchy of social establishments are taken into account.
Depending on the nature of the problem and defined tasks, socio-educational work has primary,
secondary and tertiary prevention. The success of socio-educational work can be achieved by the
direct psycho-educational preventive measures, as well as by socio-educational regulations of
behavioral deviations. These measures have the scale and their own peculiarities, common and
distinctive features. Early prevention, including its defined features, guarantees the efficiency of
socio-educational work.
