Abstract

Purpose. The study aims to analyze the features of integrating digital technologies into the process of teaching humanities and social sciences for aviation students, as well as to define the principles, conditions, and pedagogical approaches that ensure the effectiveness of this integration within the higher education system. Methods. The research employs system-analytical, comparative, and generalization methods to assess the current state of digitalization in aviation education, identify the pedagogical advantages and risks of using digital technologies, and formulate practical recommendations for optimizing the educational process. Results. It has been established that most aviation incidents are caused by communicative, psychological, and ethical factors, emphasizing the need to strengthen the humanitarian training of future aviation professionals. The study substantiates the effectiveness of integrating digital technologies into the teaching of humanities disciplines based on professional orientation of content, interactivity, individualized learning, and the development of critical thinking. The potential of virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, gamification, and cloud-based services is revealed for modeling professional situations, fostering intercultural communication, and developing decision-making skills under stress. It is proven that digital learning environments enhance students’ motivation and contribute to the development of analytical, social, and psychological competencies. Pedagogical recommendations are developed to support the digitalization of humanitarian education while maintaining the human dimension of learning, ensuring academic integrity, and overcoming digital inequality among students and educators. Conclusions. Effective implementation of digital technologies in the humanitarian training of aviation professionals requires a systematic approach, pedagogical flexibility of instructors, and consideration of the specific features of the aviation industry. The results of the study have practical significance for modernizing the curricula of aviation universities, improving methodological support for humanities disciplines, and developing strategies for the digital transformation of higher aviation education.
