Abstract

The following features are described in the article: establishment and development of societies that leads to development and spread of culture, such as: Society of graceful arts in Odessa, Odessa branch of music lovers society in Nikolaev, Russian music society and others. Due to their activities in the south of Ukraine professional art, music and theatre education was started. Besides, special care was directed to educational work among students of different types of ucational institutions of Southern Ukraine, whish helped to increase the overall cultural level of regional population.
