ASPECTS OF STUDENTS' INDEPENDENT WORK ORGANIZATION IN THE HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTES IN THE SUBJECT “FOREIGN LANGUAGE” (FRENCH)

Abstract

The article dwells on the form of independent work of students in order to stimulate their cognitive activity in the learning process. It is attempted to prove that independent work is the highest form of learning activities regard self-regulation criterion, as well as important and integral part of foreign language teaching. The author gives an example of out-of-class assignments for students' independent work that promotes skills with foreign professional sources of information (reading, translation) and the formation of oral communication skills (speaking and listening).
