KEY BASE FOR THE STUDY OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF PRIMARY EDUCATION IN UKRAINE (1932–1958s)

Abstract

The article is devoted to the actual problem of modernity, in particular, to the source base for the development of primary schools in Ukraine in 1932–1958. The relevance and novelty of the research are determined. The classifications of the source base of pedagogical research of such scientists as L. Berezivska, N. Gupan and others are presented and analyzed. The analysis of sources was carried out and the groups that were used in the development of this research were highlighted, such as: archive materials, published materials and dissertation research; periodicals published during 1932–1958, visual materials and materials of oral interviewing. The article thoroughly reviewed and analyzed the main documents that were adopted during the study period and their main content was disclosed. Highlighted and selected materials and dissertation research, which deals with some issues of the activities of primary schools in Ukraine in the twentieth century, and their regulatory and legal regulation. The main periodicals of the outlined period are indicated, on the materials of which certain aspects of the research are based. The article identifies and describes in detail the main visual sources, in particular, movies, watching of which helps to form an idea of the work of general education schools in Ukraine and emphasizes the need to educate the moral and ethical qualities of younger schoolchildren. It emphasizes the need to use methods of obtaining information that are different from classical ones,
namely, an interview, in order to get a more in-depth and detailed picture of the school years of the respondents.
