USING THE HORTING POTENTIAL IN THE PATRIOTIC EDUCATION OF UKRAINIAN YOUTH

Abstract

This article examines and describes the history of the formation and development of “Horting” – the national Ukrainian sport. The characteristic is given not only of physical but also spiritual, mental personality perfection using the elements of Horting for the education of patriotic feelings. The author analyzes actions by state institutions for the development and popularization of Horting in the context of the implementation of patriotic education of youth and the development of ways to further improve its effectiveness.
