DEVELOPMENT OF ENGINEERING THINKING IN THE PROCESS OF STUDYING MATHEMATICS

Abstract

The article deals with the study of higher mathematics engineering students in terms of competency ap- proach in education. We consider the value of formal and practical approaches to the content of mathematical disciplines based on teaching professional direction of future engineers; the necessity to integrate mathemat- ical and engineering disciplines. It has been discovered the impact of mathematics study on the development of engineering thinking.
