DEVELOPMENT OF THE SYSTEM OF PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN BELGIUM IN THE TIMES OF GLOBALISATION

Abstract

The article provides detailed analysis of the system of professional education in Belgium progressing and restruc- turing at different levels, namely, initial vocational education and training level, non-university higher professional education and training level, academic education level. Also, the author highlights the basic periods in the devel- opment in Belgian system of professional education. Close attention is paid to the phenomenon of non-university higher professional education and training. The essence of the two-cycle system of Bachelor and Master Degrees is explained together with the way of how to obtain Doctoral Degree at the universities of Belgium
