Abstract

Nowadays the problems of professional communication in pedagogy has become a very popular issue which is being discussed on the pages of psychology and pedagogy periodicals.

This article discusses questions of non-verbal communication in a primary school teacher’s activities. It gives detailed characteristics of this special type of communication: component description (mimics, touch, jester, communication distance, eye contact, intonation, and pitch), and specific ways of using these components in the process of communication with primary school children.

The article also views some results of researches made by outstanding scholars in the field.
