Abstract

In the article the issue on the development of the professional observation as the major quality of the border guard officer is considered, the basic approaches to the observation development in the psychological literature are analysed, the main directions in the organization of the work on this quality development, particularly through the development of such components as functional, intellectually operational and motivational components, are determined.
