THE CONTENT OF TRAINING OF MATHEMATICS STUDENTS IN THE KYIV IMPERIAL ST. VOLODYMYR UNIVERSITY IN THE LATE 19TH CENTURY TILL THE YEAR OF 1917

Abstract

The author analyzes the content of training of students at the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of the Kyiv Imperial St. Volodymyr University in the late 19th century till the year of 1917. The article also contains the research on the activities of Kyiv, Moscow and Saint Petersburg mathematic schools of thoughts which were instituted within corresponding universities. The activities of Kyiv physics and mathematics society and its influence upon the structure and contents of the education process at the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of the Kyiv Volodymyr University are also subject of consideration of the given article.
