PHOROPTRICA” – SPECIAL SUMMARIZING LESSON: LEARNING EXPERIENCE FROM THE PREPARATORY FACULTY

Abstract

“Phoroptrica” – practical training on which the following classes of problems: problems of the shortest ways, problems of the form of the stretched elastic threads, problems of the light rays in system of mirrors and problems of the theory of billiards, are considered with the help of the unique method. The name “Phoroptrica” derives from ancient Greek words “phores” (to fold up) and “optres” (to look), and reflects the main idea of the “method of the folded up sheet” used.
