РОЛЬ ТЕАТРУ У ФОРМУВАННІ НАЦІОНАЛЬНОЇ СВІДОМОСТІ УЧНІВСЬКОЇ МОЛОДІ СЛОБОЖАНЩИНИ У ХІХ СТОЛІТТІ

Abstract

The article deals with the role of the theatre and theatrical performances in the formation of
young learners national consciousness in Slobidska Ukraine in the XIXth century. The material is
based on the analysis of historical pedagogical resources. It is proved that in the XIXth century
Kharkiv became the most favourite city for Ukrainian actors. The city not only continued to have its
authority of the best theatrical city of the Russian empire after Petersburg and Moscow but also it
was the center of Ukrainian theatrical art and drama. It is established that theatrical performances
were very popular among young learners of Slobidska Ukraine. M.Kropivnytskiy, M. Staritskiy,
I.Tobilevich, P. Saksaganskiy were popular among students. It was found out that young learners of
Kharkiv also initiated the theatrical performances in the XIXth century. So, the pupils of Kharkiv
gymnasium organized amateur performances in their institution.
