THE FORMATION OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS AS A PEDAGOGICAL PROBLEM

Abstract

The article considers the problem of formation professional competence of future specialists in the higher educational institutions. The article reveals the content of the main stages in the development of competencybased approach in international and domestic education. The scientists’ scientific findings were examined, after what they can be considered as the foundation of the development of competence-based approach in the education in Ukraine. The analysis of the understanding of the basic definitions of competence-based education (“competency”, “competence”, “key competencies”) in modern pedagogical science.
