Abstract

In the article summarized the contribution of the slavist representatives of the Left-bank Ukraine to the development of the theory and practice of the issue. The peculiarities of their ideas as for the trends in education, the principles of the classical educational essence, requirements for its selection and terms of implementation are revealed and characterized.
