MAIN ASPECTS OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE STUDYING IN NONLINGUISTIC HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS OF UKRAINE

Abstract

In the article the problem of professional training under the conditions of reforming the system of higher education is considered. On the basis of analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature, theoretical aspects of foreign language teaching in agricultural universities of Ukraine are considered; The main aspects on the basis of which the scheme of teaching a foreign language is based are singled out; The definition of the term “profes- sionally-oriented learning” is given; The specifics of teaching a foreign language in non-linguistic high schools are analysed, and factors that make it difficult to work with students are identified; Attention is focused on the methodology of teaching a foreign language, which is especially important in with connection of the growing role of foreign language communication in the professional activity of modern specialists. The questions of enrichment and improvement of the language training methods at the present stage are emphasized. The basic laws of enrichment and improvement of the teaching concepts of the problems at the issue are considered. The conclusions about the ultimate goal of learning a foreign language in non-linguistic universities were drawn.
