MOTIVATION-GOAL COMPONENT IN THE SYSTEM OF FORMATION OF FUTURE PHD’S CULTURE OF ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

Abstract

Purpose. The article is aimed to characterize the specifics of the motivation-goal component in the systemof formation of future PhD’s academic integrity culture in the process of the professional training.Methods. Research is based on general scientific methods of induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis,abstraction and concretization. The study employs analytical methods such as theoretical, descriptive,processing, and interpretation, along with observation, classification, and systematization techniques.Results. The motivation-goal component is represented by a moral and value attitude towards one’sprofession; an active and positive attitude towards research work as a personal value; stimulation of researchactivity; performance of professional duties according to the scientist’s code of ethics; persistent need and persistence in finding effective ways to solve professional tasks by means of research work in educationalinstitutions; activity in self-development. Each future doctor of philosophy has his own set of motives and actualneeds that stimulate him to high-quality professional activity.Conclusions. It has been found that the motivation- goal component determines the leading values (honesty,trust, decency, conscientiousness, justice, respect, courage, , legality, transparency, etc.), interests (virtuousprofessional orientation taking into account the values and principles of the participant’s educational behaviourculture -scientific process), needs (educational and scientific self-realization with further self-improvementand production of one’s own I as a professional of the academic community), goal (forming a culture of academicintegrity of future doctors of philosophy in the process of their professional training by involving them inan axiological-reflective academic environment, which includes the observance of a responsible and valueprincipledposition in interaction with various social, educational and scientific institutions, the exchangeof professional assets between the subjects of the environment through the introduction of a complexof pedagogical technologies) and tasks.
