The article presents the content of lexical and semantic skills as an ability to correctly combine lexical units and include them in the semantic-grammatical context. Attention is focused on the importance of lexical and semantic skills in their interrelation for the speech development of children. The article describes the content and individual results of the study of lexical-semantic skills of preschool children with a general underdevelopment of speech.
