Abstract

Purpose. The article aims to provide a theoretical interpretation of the relationship between intellectualproperty and academic integrity in the training of future specialists and to identify their main intersectionsin the contemporary higher education process. Methods. The study uses analysis and synthesis of scholarlysources, comparison, generalization, interpretation of legal provisions, and a logical-systemic approach tothe legal, ethical, and pedagogical dimensions of the problem. Results. The research shows that intellectualproperty and academic integrity form a shared value-based and normative field that combines respect forauthorship, recognition of intellectual contribution, independence of learning and research activity, lawful use of sources, prevention of plagiarism, and responsible use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence. Themain intersections of these phenomena in the educational process are identified as authorship and citation, lawful use of educational and scientific materials, presentation of research results, independent completionof academic tasks, and digital ethics. Typical problems in student training are outlined, including insufficientunderstanding of the boundaries of authorship, a formal approach to academic writing, difficulties in workingwith sources, fragmented knowledge of intellectual property, and uncritical use of AI systems. The studysummarizes pedagogical approaches to building a culture of academic integrity and respect for intellectualproperty: integrative, axiological, practice-oriented, competency-based, reflective, environmental, design,digital-ethical, and systemic. Conclusions. The paper proves that integrating intellectual property and academicintegrity into professional training is a necessary condition for developing legal awareness, ethical responsibility, independent thinking, and readiness for honest academic and professional interaction.
