The article deals with the specifics of providing children’s language education continuity in a historical context; the evolution of children’s native language teaching purposefulness is traced in Ukrainian linguodidactics, the specific of the research field terminology is explained, are identified the problematic issues, which lead to the further research in the field of linguodidactic science.
