THE ESSENCE OF READING ACTIVITIES IN PRIMARY SCHOOL

Abstract

The essence of reading activity, which is the basic in primary school children teaching are
analyzed in the article. The definitions of "reading" is described in terms, the structural levels from
the speech activity theory, the subject content; structural components of this phenomenon are
described the reader interest is characterized, its general characteristics, the types of reader's
interests, the pupils' interest in learning practice are based.
