INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL MOTIVATION COMPONENTS IN THE HEURISTIC EDUCATION DISCOURSE OF STUDENTS-AGRARIANS
Abstract
The author investigates the external and internal factors that influence the formation of motivation as the basis of the heuristic educational process, especially the motivation of students to learn non-specific, in partic- ular humanitarian, disciplines at agrarian university. Summarized scientific sources and researches of the moti- vational sphere of students testified the need for students to master not only factual subject knowledge, but also strategies for creating and supporting their internal motivation, as it affects a wide range of interacting factors, such as cultural values, personal beliefs, perceived usefulness and interest in learning and practical training. If strong external components are absent, the interest is the basis for internal motivation. In order to reveal the humanitarian orientation of the training of future agrarians, pedagogical study of the educational process was carried out and the motivational factors of learning humanities in the higher agricultural school were outlined. The questionnaires were conducted among first- and second-year students of agrarian university. It is concluded that a modern student of agrarian university is a dynamic, creative, mobile person, with a desire for self-realiza- tion and eager to perceive new ideas and trends. The results of the pedagogical experiment proved the positive influence of technologies of heuristic education, which stimulated students’ interest in learning humanities and belief in their own abilities, as well as directed them to personal and professional self-realization.
