Abstract

The article deals with the formation of training future teachers Britain in the nineteenth century. Тhe factors that influenced its formation, characterized by the principle of the system, "pupil – teacher", examines its particular advantages and disadvantages. Reasonably modernization process of the preparation of future teachers in the XIX century, from the initial stage of the "student – teacher" to block the formation of teacher education as a form of higher education.
