Abstract
The article deals with one of the topical problems of the present day, the issue of the development of the personality of the child of preschool age by artistic and aesthetic means. The essence of the concept "art" and its functions has been discovered by the author.The significance of artistic creation in the formation of the personality of the preschool child has been analyzed, the analysis of the most effective artistic and aesthetic means and their influence on the development of the upbringing of the preschooler's creative personality has been carried out.
