Abstract
The article proves the relevance of the problem of the professional development of trainers, trainers in phys- ical education, teachers of preschool educational institutions in the field of educational and recreational activi- ties. It is noted that one of the faces of this process is the professional competence of the teacher. The illuminating scientific approaches to the interpretation of this concept, its components.
