Abstract

An attempt to analyse the features of Cognitive Approach application of in the US system of
post certificate education; to prove that the basis of Cognitive psychology is the best approach in
professional development of the American teachers; to study the peculiarities of application of
methods of Direct Instruction/Explicit Teaching, Cooperative/Collaborative Learning, Cognitive
Apprenticeship, and Discovery Learning is made in this article.
