PROJECTING AND REALIZATION OF THE LITERARY EDUCATION CONTENT IN GRADES 7–9 OF GENERAL SECONDARY EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to determine the principles and criteria for designing the content of school literary education in the basic subject cycle of general secondary education, taking into account the requirements of the State Standard of Basic Secondary Education (2020), to reveal the features of the implementation of the new content of school literary education in the textbook of Ukrainian literature for the 7th grade of the New Ukrainian School. In the research process, methods were used – analysis of psychological-pedagogical, literary and methodical literature, current normative educational documents, professional periodicals, model curricula and school textbooks, observation of the educational process in Ukrainian literature lessons in 7–9 grades of general secondary education institutions, in particular, in the experimental pilot 7 classes of the New Ukrainian School, comparing the results of studying Ukrainian literature. The results. The article updates the problem of designing the content of modern school literary education, focuses on scientific research on updating the content of literary education in the projection of modern educational priorities, outlines the criteria and principles of its development on the basic subject cycle of general secondary education in the context of the requirements of the State Standard of Basic Secondary Education; the content component of Ukrainian literature as an educational subject for 7th grade and 8–9th grade is presented, and the main criteria for the selection of works of art for textual and extracurricular study by the appropriate age categories of students-readers are defined; the peculiarities of the consistent implementation of the modern content of school literary education in the textbook of Ukrainian literature for the 7th grade of the New Ukrainian School, the concept of which is based on the principles of person-oriented, competence-based, activity-oriented, cultural approaches, reader-centric and text-centric principles, the content of the structural sections of the textbook, the didactic purpose are briefly described which effectively ensures the development of subject reading and key competences of schoolchildren. Conclusion. According to the results of the analysis of scientific and methodical literature, programmatic and educational and methodological support of the school course of Ukrainian literature for the basic subject cycle of education, based on the observation of the educational process in the lessons of Ukrainian literature, the theoretical and practical significance of the development of the new content of school literary education for grades 7–9 has been proven institutions of general secondary education, the peculiarities of its implementation are revealed in the textbook of Ukrainian literature for the 7th grade of the New Ukrainian School, prepared on the basis of person-oriented, competence-based, activity-oriented, cultural approaches, reader-centric and textcentric principles.
