USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS IN HOTEL AND RESTAURANT BUSINESS
Abstract
The purpose of the research is to analyze the features of using artificial intelligence in professional trainingof future specialists in hotel and restaurant business. To achieve this goal, the article uses theoretical methods:study, content analysis and generalization of pedagogical literature on the problem of research, developmentof scientific approaches to determining the essence and content of basic concepts; inductive-deductive to analyze individual facts about artificial intelligence to knowledge of the general, at the same time fromknowledge of its general regularities to its separate manifestation in educational and cognitive activities duringprofessional training of future specialists in hotel and restaurant business; systematization and classificationof empirical information on the use of artificial intelligence; methods of comparative analysis, interpretationand generalization of facts.Results. Results of modern psychological and pedagogical science on the use of artificial intelligencein educational and scientific activities in educational establishments and scientific institutions have beeninvestigated. Analysis of definitions of conceptual-categorical apparatus of the mentioned research, namely“artificial intelligence”, “machine learning”, “deep learning”, “natural language processing”, “patternrecognition” has been carried out. Possibilities of using artificial intelligence in educational process duringtraining of applicants for education, in particular interactive training platforms, adaptive learning systems,virtual assistants and chatbots, have been considered. Theoretical models and approaches to the integrationof AI into education have been investigated. Modern AI technologies for use in the educational process havebeen considered, namely: learning management systems (LMS) with AI functions, virtual and augmentedreality for simulation training, AI analyzers for assessing competencies and students’ development.Conclusions. Necessity of using computer programs and learning management systems (LMS), virtualsimulators using VR and AR technologies for simulating real situations has been confirmed. Recommendationsfor introduction of artificial intelligence in the curriculum have been developed. Prospects for the developmentof artificial intelligence in professional training of hotel and restaurant business specialists and conditions forits successful implementation, as well as possible obstacles and ways to overcome them, have been allocated.
